Songs of the HMong

Songs of the HMong is a music-driven puzzle adventure set within a hand-crafted storybook world. Join Xiao Miao, a young Hmong girl, as she helps a mysterious, amnesiac elder recover lost memories. Guided by the power of melody, you must find the seeds of the Sacred Tree to restore a fractured world. Inspired by the Song of the Maple—a National Intangible Cultural Heritage—we have breathed ancient souls into every paper-cut silhouette and every haunting melody.

A Healing Journey of Belonging

The world is crumbling, and memories lie scattered across the forest floor like fallen leaves. Step into the shoes of Xiao Miao, a brave Hmong maiden. Guided by a mysterious elder, you will retrace the legendary steps of creation found in the Song of the Maple, uncovering the secrets of where all life began.

A Living World of Paper and Shadow

Unique Art Style: Experience a visual feast where mountains, forests, and spirits are constructed entirely from traditional paper-cut art.

Dynamic Aesthetics: Watch paper butterflies flutter their wings and layered paper mountains unfold like a scrolling canvas. Playing the game feels like wandering inside a living, breathing picture book.

Melody Is the Key

Music is not just background atmosphere; it is your agency.

Ancient Songs Reimagined: The soundtrack features adaptations of authentic, ancient Hmong folk songs. Ethereal and distant, the melodies transport you back to an era of storytelling around the bonfire.

Rhythmic Puzzles: Collect scattered musical scores and perform specific melodies to interact with the environment. Use the power of song to wake slumbering stone statues or weave vines into bridges to reach the other side.

Relax and Immerse On a quiet afternoon, put on your headphones, brew a cup of tea, and let this healing, timeless tale wash over you.
