About This Re-release

Originally released in 2005, Dawn of Magic returns as a digital re-release of the original action RPG. This is not a remaster or remake. The release preserves the original game while introducing a number of additions and improvements for its return to modern digital platforms.

About the Game

Dawn of Magic 2, is a standalone expansion to the original Dawn of Magic. It continues the story through a new campaign while retaining the core magic system, gameplay foundations, and visual identity of the first game. The original game is not required to play, although completing it first is recommended for the full narrative context.

Ten years have passed since the defeat of Modo, the monstrous immortal whose ambitions nearly destroyed the world. For a time, peace returned. But the fragile balance between the surviving forces could not last forever.

Now the barriers separating the worlds are beginning to collapse. The Legions of Shadows are pouring through the cracks, and another invasion has begun. To stop them, you must journey through dangerous lands and the labyrinths of the Other Worlds before the approaching darkness consumes everything.

Your Magic Will Change You

Magic is more than a collection of weapons you are used to. It shapes the way you fight, determines how your character develops, and gradually transforms your physical appearance.

Choose from 12 schools of magic, learn new spells, improve their power, and experiment with combinations drawn from different magical disciplines. Specialise in a carefully selected group of schools or mix seemingly incompatible powers to create a build of your own.

But every choice leaves its mark.

As your mastery grows, magical energy begins to alter your body. New features, mutations, and supernatural traits reveal the powers you have embraced, turning your character into a visible reflection of the magic they command.

Create Your Own School of Destruction

The magic system lies at the heart of Dawn of Magic.

Each school offers its own spells, tactical possibilities, and visual transformations. Magical disciplines can be developed individually, but their true potential emerges when their effects are combined.

Burn enemies with destructive forces, summon supernatural creatures, weaken resistance, control the battlefield, protect yourself with magical barriers, or enhance your abilities before entering close combat.

Experimentation is essential. A spell that appears modest on its own may become devastating when supported by another school, the right equipment, or a carefully planned character build.
