Grand Theft Auto VI is the biggest release of the year, and if you're planning to play it on day one you've probably wondered whether it's worth pre-ordering, and where to get it cheapest. Here's what you need to know as a UK buyer.
Zemly compares prices across official stores and key sites and may earn a commission when you buy through our links. That never changes the price you pay.
When does GTA 6 come out?
Grand Theft Auto VI is due out on 19 November 2026. At launch it's coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and those are the versions you can pre-order now. If a PC version is announced, it will appear on our GTA VI price page as soon as stores list it.
Where is the cheapest GTA 6 pre-order?
Prices change often, sometimes several times a day, so rather than quote a number here that could be out of date by tomorrow, our GTA VI price page compares the current prices from every store we track and is updated at least twice a day. It shows:
- the cheapest PS5 and Xbox Series X|S offers side by side,
- which region each key is for, and whether it works in the UK,
- the official stores next to key sites like Eneba and G2A.
How does pre-ordering a key work?
When you pre-order from a key store you usually get one of two things:
- A key straight away that you can redeem now. The game then appears in your library and downloads or unlocks on release day.
- A key on (or just before) release day, sent by email or added to your order page.
The store's product page says which one you're getting. Either way, the game won't be playable until 19 November.
What to check before you pre-order
- The right console. A PS5 key won't work on Xbox and vice versa, and make sure it's for the console generation you own.
- The region. Choose a key marked UK, Global or Europe. On Zemly, keys that won't work in the UK are hidden by default.
- The edition. Standard, Deluxe and other editions are listed separately, so compare like with like.
- Key or account. If you want the game on your own account for good, buy a key rather than an account. Our "Keys only" switch hides accounts.
- The store's own page. It is the final word on region, platform and delivery date.
Should you pre-order at all?
Pre-ordering locks in a price and means you can play the moment it unlocks. The downside is that prices sometimes drop slightly closer to launch, and you're committing before reviews are out. If price is your main concern, keep an eye on our pre-order list: it shows every upcoming game with its current lowest price.
